Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to be appointed as an independent external member of Kempsey Shire Council's Audit and Risk Committee. Council is seeking to appoint two external members to its newly formed Audit and Risk Committee. The Committee will meet at least four times a year in Kempsey.
One external member of the Committee will have a strong financial management and/or audit background, with an understanding of accounting and auditing standards in a public sector environment. Legal, governance, risk management, information and communications technology (ICT) and business management skills and experience are desirable.
