The opportunity    

Reporting to the Process Engineer, the Team Leader Water Process will provide leadership to the Water process team and ensure adequate operation of all treatment facilities relating to Council's water supply, coordination of the Water Process team roster, and providing technical advice and support of staff. 

To be successful in this position, you should hold a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations with at least five years demonstrated relevant experience in water treatment operations; water quality management and facility management; and qualifications relevant to water treatment, for example, Water Treatment Plant Operator, Fluoride Certificate.  A Certificate IV in Water Industry Operations or Trade Certificate would be an advantage.

Key accountabilities

The tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating the Water Process team to ensure the control, operation, monitoring and maintenance of the treatment facets of the Council's water supply
• Developing and coordinating the roster for the Water Process team
• Assisting the Process Engineer in the development of electronic monitoring of operational data and the regular assessment and analysis of this data
• Managing small projects 
• Providing after hours availability for remote response and phone calls, including weekends and public holidays.
