Community Engagement provides cemeteries, library services, youth services, community safety, aboriginal services, public relations, events management, heritage issues, donations and contributions to community groups, and customer services. Building a strong community is a key outcome for Council. Community wellbeing is influenced by participation in cultural and recreation activities, access to facilities and community information. Engaging all parts of our diverse community is the focus for the Community Engagement team.
These positions, reporting to the Team Leader Library, involves working as part of the team in providing consistent high quality customer service at library service points mainly at Stuarts Point and South West Rocks. These positions are essentially casual relief for Stuarts Point and South West Rocks libraries, however you would also be trained for opportunity to back fill at Kempsey. As a casual Library Assistant you will provide high level of customer service to all community members visiting our facility, all aspects of circulation and readers’ assistance including afternoon shifts and weekend work. Participating in day to day operational functions, the successful candidate will provide support to the deliverables of their designated location.
