Kempsey Shire Council is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and is known for genuine hospitality, its pristine beaches, sub-tropical rainforests, mountain ranges, rocky river gorges, sprawling farmland and peaceful villages.
Reporting to the Team Leader Up River Crew, the Plant Operator/Truck Driver Up River is responsible for operation of a roller and other plant items as required in the construction and/or maintenance of Council's roads, maintaining the plant item to the highest possible standard, and carrying out other duties such as traffic control and general labouring. To be successful in this position, you should have demonstrated practical experience and evidence of competency in the operation of Front End Loader and Backhoe in road construction and maintenance activities; and the ability to care and maintain plant and vehicles. It is a requirement that you hold a WorkCover Construction Induction Card and a current MR Drivers Licence. Please note this position will be based at Williawarrin, and you may be requested to work from any Council work site in the Shire with reasonable notice.
