Reporting to the Manager Financial Services, the Coordinator Procurement and Fleet will provide leadership and supervision to the team, and deliver professional support and advice to Council in all procurement, tendering and contract management functions, as well as overseeing the effective management of Council's plant and equipment.  To be successful in this position, you should have tertiary qualifications in Procurement/Fleet Management or equivalent experience; knowledge of the Local Government Act and Local Government Regulations with regards to tendering and contractual arrangements practices; possess excellent communication and negotiation skills; and have strong analytical skills.

Key accountabilities

The tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice and strategic input relating to procurement, contract management, and fleet management
  • Preparing and facilitating Request for Tender, Request for Quotation, and Expression of Interest processess
  • Contributing to Council's procurement strategy and undertaking strategic procurement activities
  • Managing Council's fleet and coordinating the long-term fleet replacement program
