Kempsey Shire Council is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and is known for genuine hospitality, its pristine beaches, sub-tropical rainforests, mountain ranges, rocky river gorges, sprawling farmland and peaceful villages.
Reporting to the Coordinator Compliance, the Ranger will undertake animal control, impounding, parking and other regulatory and enforcement services for Council. To be successful in this position, you should have Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or Animal Control and Regulation, or similar; experience in handling domestic animals and livestock; and experience in court matters and procedures. Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary and you should possess facilitation, conflict management, negotiation and program solving skills. Please note it is a requirement of this role that you are willing to participate in a rotating roster for on-call and weekend work, including public holidays.
